Privacy policy
This policy explains what mnonk.com collects when you read a guide, leave a comment, or email us. The site is operated by Soumya Roy. Contact: contact@mnonk.com. Last updated 27 September 2026.
What we collect
- Pages you read. The host and our analytics (Google Site Kit, which uses Google Analytics) record standard visit data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device, and browser. We use that to see which guides are useful.
- Email you send us. If you write to contact@mnonk.com, we keep the message and your address long enough to reply and to fix the page you wrote about.
- Comments. If you comment, WordPress stores the comment, the name and email you enter, and your IP address and browser string to help block spam. An anonymized hash of your email may be sent to Gravatar to show a profile image. After a comment is approved, your name and comment are public.
- Accounts. Only site editors have accounts. If you have one, your profile details are stored in WordPress. You can ask us to correct or delete them.
Cookies
MnOnk uses cookies for these jobs:
- Remembering a commenter’s name and email if you opt in (about one year).
- A temporary check that your browser accepts cookies when you open the login page. It is deleted when you close the browser.
- Login and display cookies for editors. These are not set for ordinary readers.
- Analytics cookies from Google, used to measure traffic.
- If we turn on advertising, the ad provider (such as Google) may set cookies to show and measure ads. You can control ad personalization in your Google ad settings.
Affiliate links and embedded content
Guides link to Amazon.in, Flipkart, and sometimes other Indian stores. Those sites receive the fact that you arrived from MnOnk, and they have their own privacy policies. If a page embeds a video or another site, that embed can collect data as if you had visited it directly. Read how affiliate links work.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the services that run the site: the hosting provider, Google (analytics and, if enabled, ads), the spam check on comments, and email delivery when you write to us. A password reset email, if you have an account, includes your IP address.
How long we keep it
Comments and their metadata stay until you ask us to delete them, because WordPress uses them to recognize follow-up comments. Analytics is kept under Google’s retention settings for the property. Emails are kept while the correction or question is open, then deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your choices
Email contact@mnonk.com to ask what comment data we hold, to correct it, or to delete it. You can block cookies in your browser. Blocking analytics cookies does not stop you reading the guides. If you have an account, you can also request an export of the profile data we store.
Children
MnOnk is written for adults buying products in India. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
